ATA was founded on October 10th, 2010, initially under the name "ATA INDONESIA". The Company has gone through a restructuring and rebranding process and since 10th October 2014 is managed under ATA CORP, which is the brand name of PT ATA Utama Abadi, designated as the holding company of the following and business units and companies: ATA TOUR for tour & travel, ATA UMROH for umroh travel, ATA TREKS for organizing MICE events, and SAP for direct selling.
ATA focuses on the field of membership services (named “Associates”), initially in the Tour and Travel business, selling products such as online-based Airline Tickets, Train Tickets and Tour Packages.
Along with its growth, ATA has conducted innovative product developments, among others, hotel room reservation services, PPOB (Payment Point Online Bank) services for payment of PLN (national electricity service), prepaid electricity credit, prepaid mobile phone credit, & other utilities. In addition, ATA also develops web engines and systems for tour & travel businesses, operates MLM-based direct selling of high-quality products, and manages umroh travels.
Until recently, the Company has about 1.5 million users spread throughout Indonesia, establishing ATA as one of the largest companies in terms of domestic ticket sales in Indonesia.
Supported by a sophisticated IT system, ATA has helped in opening up numerous business opportunities to the Indonesian people. In the effort of supporting its Associates, a support system under the name ”CBO Academy" has also been developed and implemented. This system serves as the best means to support Associates in developing their business. ATA not only manages the business' information system, but also takes part in human capital development through the training programs conducted by experienced trainers.
